Optical Engineer

Nuphoton Technologies, Inc., located in Murrieta, CA, is seeking an Optical Engineer to develop fiber amplifiers, fiber lasers, and fiber optic and optoelectronics subsystems. The candidate will be responsible for the simulation, design, and prototyping of fiber amplifiers, analyzing data from thermal tests, and developing thermal management strategies. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Optoelectronics/optical communication, with at least two years of experience in various types of fiber amplifiers and lasers. Experience with MOPA and mode-locked lasers is a plus. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is required. Proficiency in optical and circuit design software is highly desirable. Senior Fiber Optics Technician

We are looking for a Senior Fiber Optics Technician with fiber Optics and bulk optics experience for our Murrieta, CA office.

  • Experience in bulk optics assembly and alignment required.
  • Should have experience in optical measurements using OSA, optical power meter, oscilloscope and optical fixtures.
  • Will be responsible to perform set-up, operation, alignment, build and test electro-mechanical, laser and optical assemblies, from small sub-assemblies to completed integrated systems.
  • The candidate should be self starter, be able to work with minimum supervision.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years opto-mechanical assembly and test experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings, schematics, diagrams and work instructions.
