Optical Engineer

Nuphoton Technologies, Inc., located in Murrieta, CA, is seeking an Optical Engineer to develop fiber amplifiers, fiber lasers, and fiber optic and optoelectronics subsystems. The candidate will be responsible for the simulation, design, and prototyping of fiber amplifiers, analyzing data from thermal tests, and developing thermal management strategies. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Optoelectronics/optical communication, with at least two years of experience in various types of fiber amplifiers and lasers. Experience with MOPA and mode-locked lasers is a plus. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is required. Proficiency in optical and circuit design software is highly desirable.
